Spiriva Respimat is indicated for the long-term maintenance treatment of bronchospasm associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
It is also indicated to reduce exacerbations in patients with COPD.
Spiriva Respimat is not indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm or for the treatment of asthma.
It is intended for use in adults only.
Dosage and administration
The recommended dosage of Spiriva Respimat for adults with COPD is two puffs once daily.
Each puff delivers 2.5 micrograms of tiotropium bromide.
Use Spiriva Respimat at the same time each day for best results.
Do not exceed the prescribed dosage or frequency without consulting your healthcare provider.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing schedule.
Do not take extra doses to make up for a missed one.

Side effects
