Product Information
Drug name: Elmiron
Generic name: Pentosan Polysulfate
Strengths: 100 mg

Elmiron uses
This prescription medicine is used to treat pain and discomfort caused by interstitial cystitis, a bladder condition.
How Does Elmiron Work
It may function by creating a protective coating on the bladder wall, shielding it from harmful or irritating chemicals in the urine. It’s also a weak blood thinner, which means it raises the risk of bruising and bleeding, such as from the nose or gums.
