Afterward, refill the glass with another 4 ounces of water, stir, and drink the contents. If administering through a stomach tube (nasogastric tube), seek detailed instructions from your healthcare professional on proper mixing and administration.

- Some people may experience opiate withdrawal symptoms. Notify your doctor immediately if you encounter any of these withdrawal symptoms, such as sweating, chills, stomach/abdominal pain, diarrhea, yawning, or changes in mental/mood (such as anxiety/irritability).
- Rarely, this drug may cause a serious tear in the stomach or intestinal wall (perforation). Seek medical help right away if you notice unlikely but serious side effects such as severe stomach/abdominal pain that persists, fever, dizziness/fainting, or nausea/vomiting.
- Although rare, a very severe allergic reaction to this drug may occur. Seek immediate medical assistance if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
