Dosage and administration
Read the patient information leaflet and medication guide before using bupropion.
Take the medication by mouth as directed, usually three times daily.
Take with or without food, and if stomach upset occurs, take with food.
Do not crush, cut, or chew the tablet unless directed by your doctor.
Do not take more or less medication than prescribed.
Dosage is based on medical condition and response to treatment.
Your dose may be slowly increased to limit side effects.
Take the medication regularly at the same times each day.
Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It may take 4 or more weeks to notice the full benefit of the drug.
Side effects
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, constipation, increased sweating, joint aches, sore throat, blurred vision, strange taste in the mouth, diarrhea, or dizziness.

This medication may raise blood pressure, so regularly check your blood pressure and inform your doctor of any high results.
Serious side effects may include chest pain, fainting, fast or irregular heartbeat, hearing problems, ringing in the ears, severe headache, mental or mood changes, uncontrolled movements, unusual weight loss or gain, or muscle pain/tenderness/weakness.
Seek medical help immediately for very serious side effects such as eye pain/swelling/redness, widened pupils, vision changes (such as seeing rainbows around lights at night), or seizure.
While rare, a serious allergic reaction to this drug can occur. Seek medical help immediately if you experience symptoms such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.

Precautions
