Product Information

Drug name: Combigan

Combigan generic name: Brimonidine-Timolol

Combigan dose: 5mL, 10mL, 15mL

Formulation: Eyedrops

Production Description

Combigan eyedrops are a combination of medications used to treat glaucoma and other eye conditions. This is accomplished by decreasing intraocular pressure. Brimonidine and Timolol, the two medicines that make up Combigan, are combined when one isn’t enough. Because the danger of significant side effects is higher in children under the age of two, it is not advised for them.

Your physician should be consulted if you have a history of:

  • Allergies to certain medical ingredients
  • Lung disease Irregular heartbeat
  • Heart disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • Blood vessel disease
  • Blood circulation disorders
  • Dizziness after standing
  • Muscle weakness disorders

Consult your prescribing doctor if you should continue therapy if you have an eye infection or damage. Even if you haven’t finished the existing bottle, your prescribing doctor may advise you to start a new one.

If you have diabetes, this medicine may help you avoid symptoms like a racing heart. Other symptoms might not be impacted.

Dizziness is a side effect of Combigan. Alcohol and/or weed may both make you dizzy. Do not operate machinery, drive, or engage in any other tasks that need alertness or clear eyesight. While using Combigan, try to stay away from alcohol. If you want to use cannabis, talk to your doctor first.

Possible interactions include:

  • Oral Beta blockers
  • Antidepressants
  • Digoxin
  • Epinephrine
  • Fingolimod
  • High blood pressure medications
  • Quinidine
  • Opioid pain/cough relievers
  • Alcohol/cannabis
  • Drugs for sleep/anxiety
  • Muscle relaxants
  • Antihistamines

To avoid contamination, wash your hands before using this medicine. If you use contacts, remove them as well. Because some of the preservatives used in Combigan eyedrops can be absorbed by contact lenses, wait 15 minutes before putting them in.

Pull down your lower lid and tilt your head back, gazing up, to create a pouch in which to apply for the medicine. Apply one drop twice a day, twelve hours apart, on a daily basis. Close your eyes and stare down once you’ve applied for the medicine. Apply gentle pressure with your finger to the inner corner of the eye where Combigan was used. Don’t rub your eyes and keep them closed. If necessary, repeat on the opposite eye.

To prevent contamination, do not rinse the dropper; instead, replace the cap after each use. Use eye drops before ointments and wait at least ten minutes between eye medicines. To get the most out of Combigan, use it on a regular basis. The majority of people who have glaucoma or excessive eye pressure do not have any symptoms.
