Pramox HC is a topical prescription medication that is used to treat symptoms of pain and itching that are often associated with insect bites, minor burns or scrapes and hemorrhoids, as well as minor skin rash, dryness or itching. This medication relieves both pain and itching sensations by interfering with the pain signals that are sent to the brain.
Pramox HC should be stored in an area that is protected from heat and moisture. Keep Pramox HC at room temperature.
Before using Pramox HC, let your doctor know if you are allergic to any medications, especially medications that act as anesthetics. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor before you begin taking Pramox HC.
Apply Pramox HC cream carefully around areas of the eyes, nose and mouth. If this medication is accidently administered to one of these areas, rinse the area with water immediately. Avoid using this medication on deep skin wounds, blistered skin, severe burns and large skin areas.
Pramox HC is a prescription medication that should be used in the exact fashion that is outlined in your prescription. If your prescription is unclear, contact your doctor for more information. Ensure that you wash your hands before and after using Pramox HC. This medication comes in the form of a cream and should be applied topically only. When applying Pramox HC, use just enough to cover the affected area.
